Post: [251014] People Business Partner

Location: Plymouth Based (hybrid delivery model of home and site-based according to business requirements)

Salary Range: NJC Grade I; £46,197 - 51,673

Actual Salary: - £46,821 - £52,371

Contract Type: Fixed Term, ending June 2026, Full Time (52.14 Weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

About the role

Join Reach South Academy Trust as a People Business Partner, where you will play a vital role in enhancing our People Management strategy. Reporting to the Head of People you will provide expert advice and leadership on employee relations and workforce development. Your influence will drive initiatives that boost employee engagement, workforce planning and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership

Collaborate with leadership teams across multiple academies and central teams

Provide expert guidance on complex HR/ER matters

Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practices

Champion a positive, inclusive and high-performing work culture.

About you

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and driven to deliver positive outcomes, balancing the needs of the business with those of the workforce. You will be highly organised, managing your workload and time effectively, and enjoy handling a busy case load with minimal supervision. With significant experience in an HR Business Partner or HR management role (preferably within the education sector) you will demonstrate tangible value and positive impact as an HR professional, building strong working relationships with stakeholders and showcasing personal effectiveness across all levels within an organisation.

We seek a dynamic individual with extensive HR experience, capable of working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including business leaders, external agencies, and trade unions. If you are passionate about driving operational and strategic effectiveness in People Management, and thrive working in a fast paced, pressurised environment, this new challenge could be perfect for you! Experience within the Education sector would be advantageous.
