FTE Salary Range: Grade C, point 5-7, £24,790 rising to £25,584 per annum pro rata

Actual Annual Salary: £19,997 rising to £20,638 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part time, term-time only (39 weeks)

Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role

Come and join our supportive team and work within our inclusive setting. We are seeking to appoint 1 ambitious and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our primary team based at High Street Primary Academy.

We can offer training for the right candidates to support our effective phonics programme, adaptive curriculum delivery and quality interventions. We are proud of our school, our pupils and our community - come and be a part of our team!

About the successful candidate

You will need:

  • NVQ2 Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Understanding of foundation/national stage curriculum and other basic learning programmes and strategies
  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 RQF or equivalent or experience
  • Numeracy and literacy skills to fulfil the duties of the role
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Framework
  • Effective written and oral communication skills required to liaise with pupils, other staff, parents and outside agencies and professionals.
  • Keyboarding skills required to support the use of ICT in learning activities.

About the School

High Street Primary Academy is a primary school located in Stonehouse, Plymouth. We currently have approximately 220 pupils on roll from aged 2 to 11. In July 2023, OFSTED inspectors rated the school as ‘good’, praising the highly ambitious curriculum, the speed in which children gained the knowledge and skills they need, the support given to children to read confidently. Inclusion is a strength within the school; all pupils including those with SEND, make good progress. Pupils behaviour is good and we use our bespoke manners curriculum to encourage a warm and friendly ethos.

Every child at High Street Academy is supported to achieve their full potential - we work tirelessly and collaboratively as a team to offer all children the opportunity to meet their aspirations beyond expectations.
