Pilgrim Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint an exceptional Class Teacher.

Post: Class Teacher (Primary Age)

Location: Pilgrim Primary Academy, Oxford Street, Plymouth PL1 5BQ

Salary Range: MPS1 - UPS3, £32,916 rising to £51,047 per annum

Hours/Contract: 32.5 hours per week, permanent contract

About the Role:

We are looking for an exceptional, caring class teacher to join our happy and dedicated team. Our ideal candidate will have a desire to improve both academic and personal outcomes and lead outstanding inclusive provision within their class.

As an outstanding, dynamic and passionate teacher, you’ll be able to inspire our learners, having high expectations that ensure your teaching directly impacts on great academic and pastoral outcomes for pupils. Specifically you will:

  • Have well-developed interpersonal skills, understanding the importance of establishing trusted and empathetic relationships with children to best support behaviours and positive learning attitudes.
  • Be an excellent communicator, delivering learning with clarity and offering dynamic feedback.
  • Have excellent subject knowledge, be extremely well organised and well prepared.
  • Be committed to fully inclusive practices and have a comprehensive understanding of inclusion and SEND provisions, knowing the importance of meeting the needs of the whole child -valuing the uniqueness of every pupil in your care.
  • Bring energy and positivity, being eager to work flexibly and thriving when working in a wider team and in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Be consistently professionally curious, enjoying extending your own knowledge and skills through reflective practice, research and coaching models of CPD.
  • Be able to offer a subject area of expertise to lead across school - please state areas of curriculum strength you could offer in your letter of application.
