We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and committed teacher looking for a development opportunity who will support the Head of English in leading our very successful and collaborative English Department in our oversubscribed school.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for either Key Stage 3 or 4, by agreement, leading on the development of curriculum, teaching and learning strategies and assessments to enable high levels of success for learners of all abilities. You will be a confident and inspiring teacher of A-level, as well as GCSE, contributing to the growing popularity of our subject. Developing leadership skills through line managing experienced staff through to mentoring ITT/ECT teachers, will be a key part of the role.

Our GCSE results in English Language have been particularly successful in recent years and we have the drive to achieve results consistently above FFT20, as well as being keen to raise attainment in all aspects of the subject and at all Key Stages. If you have the ambition to be a future Head of English, this role would equip you with the experience and skills you need.
