The Forest School is a highly successful, friendly and dynamic 11-16 School, committed to achieving high standards and to developing the potential of all our students and staff. It is an exciting time in the history of the school, as from September 2021 the school will have its first co-educational intake. There has also been significant investment in the refurbishment and redesign of the English department classrooms as well as further radical redevelopment throughout the school. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher and leader of English to join our highly successful and progressive English team. You will be joining a forward thinking and highly motivated team who are always looking for ways to innovate and excite students about English and who are committed to expediting progress for all learners.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
• Qualified Teacher Status
• the ability to motivate students and staff and achieve excellent results
• excellent organisational and ICT skills
• excellent subject knowledge
• the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
• a passion for English and the ability to share this and inspire with young people
• a commitment to developing the team and vision of the department through an active leadership role
