The Role
As 2nd in Maths, you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Faculty to lead and develop our Maths department. You will help to inspire both colleagues and students, contributing to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, raising standards, and driving student progress.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Faculty in leading and managing the Maths department.
- Contribute to curriculum development, teaching, and assessment.
- Monitor student progress and set ambitious targets for improvement.
- Support colleagues through guidance, coaching, and sharing best practice.
- Deputise for the Head of Faculty when required.
- Contribute to extra-curricular provision and enrichment opportunities.
- Act as a role model, upholding high standards of behaviour, effort, and aspiration.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and degree-level education.
- Ability to teach Maths across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Experience of motivating and inspiring students of all abilities.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to ensuring every pupil reaches their potential.
Desirable:
- Awareness of current GCSE syllabus developments.
- Experience with innovation in the classroom (e.g., interactive technology).
- Involvement in extra-curricular activities or school trips.
