Academic Tutor job summary

The role involves providing academic support to the Science and Maths departments, thereby making a strong contribution to students’ learning and achievement. This may be achieved by supervising classes/ groups of students and providing 1:1 sessions with identified students.

The role will also involve providing cover for absent teachers across the curriculum as and when required. The successful candidate will be passionate about cultivating a love for Science and Maths, and fostering a desire for learning in students. This position requires an individual who is patient, motivated, well-organised, and willing to work with key members of staff to ensure that the curriculum is engaging and accessible to all young people who attend Everton Free School.
