Academy Improvement Lead (Primary) job summary
Think you can spot great teaching at 50 paces? Get irrationally excited about marginal gains, curriculum coherence, and a beautifully constructed line management meeting? This might just be your dream job.
Due to the expansion of our central education team, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Academy Improvement Lead. We’re on the lookout for someone who can roll up their sleeves and get stuck in – not with a clipboard and a checklist, but with curiosity, creativity, and a knack for making people feel both supported and challenged (ideally at the same time, with good coffee).
In this role, you’ll work across our schools with senior leaders and teachers to drive improvement, share what works, and help build thriving cultures where everyone keeps getting better – including you.
You don’t need to have "Trust-wide strategic leadership" tattooed on your CV. You do need:
- A rock-solid track record of making real improvements in your own school(s)
- Emotional intelligence, credibility, and the ability to build trust fast
- Enough flexibility to go with the flow, and enough backbone to steer the ship
- A love of strategy and people (if you’re all systems and no soul, it’s not for you)
- A willingness to try, reflect, refine, and try again – without losing your sense of humour
You’ll help shape what great looks like across the Trust – and you’ll do it as part of a values-led, down-to-earth, ambitious team that takes its work seriously but never takes itself too seriously
This is a rare chance to make your mark in an organisation where values aren't wallpaper — they're the walls.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Whether you’re currently in a school-based role or already working across a Trust, we’re looking for the right person and the right fit. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
📩 Get in touch today. Let’s talk about the future you could help shape!
