We are looking for an organised, welcoming and proactive Receptionist and Administrator to be the first point of contact at Parkwood E-ACT Academy. You will provide exceptional customer service, manage daily administrative tasks and support the smooth running of our busy academy. Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, parents and visitors, providing a warm and professional welcome.
- Manage the academy’s reception area, ensuring it is organised, safe and supportive of daily operations.
- Handle incoming calls, emails and enquiries efficiently, directing queries to the appropriate staff.
- Support a range of administrative tasks, including maintaining records, drafting correspondence and processing documentation.
- Coordinate meeting rooms, visitor passes and general front‑of‑house duties.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and effective academy operations.
Pay range: SCP4-6 - £22,150.90 - £22,858.04 - FTE: £25,185.00 - £25,989.00 - 8am to 4pm Mon-Thurs and Fri 8am to 3.30pm - 37 hours over 39 weeks
Qualifications and Skills:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are required for the role
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle routine telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries professionally.
- Excellent organisational skills, including maintaining accurate manual and computerised records and supporting administrative procedures.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy reception environment, managing multiple tasks such as mail distribution, visitor sign‑in and responding to enquiries.
- Professional, welcoming and proactive manner, ensuring a high‑quality reception experience for students, staff, parents and visitors.
