What skills and experience we're looking for

Under the direction of the head teacher, you will be responsible for the supervision and care of pupils attending the after school club and for organising, coordinating and supporting the work of the team of Activity Support Officers. You will also be responsible for the organisation and provision of a range of activities whilst ensuring the health and safety, welfare and good behaviour of the pupils is in accordance with school policy.

You must be able to work as part of a team and have strong leadership and communication skills. Alongside the supervision of pupils and Activity Officers you will be required to liaise closely with the head teacher, parents and school office staff. You will be required to demonstrate and promote positive behaviour at all times and carry out tasks such as activity planning and food preparation.

Experience of working with children/young people in a nursery or school environment is essential for this job. Specific training will be given to the successful candidate (food hygiene, first aid, safeguarding)
