Hours of Work:37 Hours Per Week, Term Time Plus 5 Days

Salary:£21,280 - £22,097

Start Date:01/09/2026

Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth are seeking to recruit an Admin & Reception Assistant who will be the first point of contact for general enquiries. You will be required to provide a warm, professional and efficient reception service, including greeting visitors to the Academy. You will also provide strong administrative support to the school, undertaking a range of general clerical and administration duties including typing and word processing. Experience in using computer packages such as word and excel is essential.

To be successful, you should ideally possess a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in English and Maths. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, in order to allow you to engage with callers and visitors to the Academy, students and staff professionally, efficiently and sensitively. We are seeking applications from candidates with a friendly, approachable manner and strong organisational skills. A flexible approach to work is essential in order to assist the Administration team at busy times and occasionally adjusting hours to cover after school events. Previous experience in an education environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

The academy offers a blend of contemporary classrooms, outstanding SEND Provisions and friendly academic staff, making it an ideal setting for those seeking to work in a progressive academy environment.
