About the Role - Admin Receptionist (Muriel Green)

We are seeking a dedicated Admin Receptionist to work closely with our office managers, Headteachers, and school teams. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of administrative processes and providing a welcoming, professional first point of contact for families, visitors, and staff.

  • Welcoming children, parents, and visitors, and supporting the safe arrival and dismissal of children at the start and end of the day.
  • Acting as a friendly front-of-house presence, ensuring the reception area is welcoming, organised, and professional.
  • Supporting administrative tasks such as paperwork, data entry, and maintaining accurate records to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Working closely with office managers and Headteachers to support communication and contribute to the efficient running of the school.

This role will be based at Muriel Green and is part-time, working 2:30pm-6:30pm daily, with one day per week working 8:00am-6:30pm, totalling 26 hours per week.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role involves working closely with children and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

All applicants are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of Hertfordshire County Council’s pre-employment checks. Any appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of a DBS and other safeguarding checks and also to satisfactory references being obtained.
