Administration Apprentice job summary

English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College is looking to appoint an Administration Apprentice. The successful candidate will be engaged on an 18-month training programme to gain a level 2/3 qualification in either Business Administration or AAT.

As an Administration Apprentice, you will be an important part of the school’s support team, gaining hands-on experience while working towards your qualification. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, eager to learn, and interested in developing a career in office administration within an educational environment.

You will support the day-to-day running of the school office, assisting with a variety of administrative tasks such as answering phones, greeting visitors, managing records, handling correspondence, and supporting staff with general clerical duties. You’ll also gain experience using school systems and software, learning how to maintain accurate records and provide excellent customer service.

Working under the guidance of experienced colleagues, you’ll develop key skills in communication, time management, and teamwork, all while contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the school.
