Join #TeamMoorside — Where We Care
At Moorside High School, we pride ourselves on getting the balance right — between academic progress, pastoral support, and enriching wider curriculum experiences. We are part of Consilium Academies, a family of nine schools across the North of England, united by our mission to “Enrich Lives and Inspire Ambitions.”
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team as an Administration Assistant, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our busy and vibrant school.
About the Role
As an Administration Assistant, you’ll play a key part in providing high-quality administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our school. Working alongside the Administration and Operations Managers, you’ll be the first point of contact for staff, students, parents, and visitors — providing a professional, welcoming, and helpful service at all times.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting general administrative functions such as reception duties, mail handling, and maintaining school records.
- Managing communications with parents, students, and staff through phone, email, and school messaging systems.
- Assisting with school events, trips, and enrichment activities.
- Supporting reprographics and the creation of high-quality printed materials in line with Moorside’s branding.
- Helping with ParentPay management and first aid provision (training provided).
- Ensuring all administrative systems run smoothly to support the wider school community.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive, and people-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and making a real difference in the lives of young people.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Can manage a range of tasks efficiently and stay calm under pressure.
- Is confident using ICT systems such as Microsoft Office and databases.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Brings a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to supporting our students and staff.
Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage, but it’s not essential — what matters most is your enthusiasm, reliability, and willingness to learn.
