Administration Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic and suitably experienced Administration Assistant. (32 hrs per week, term time plus 10 additional training days) to join our support team at Holderness Academy & Sixth Form College.

About the Role
The Admin Assistant will:
- Undertake a range of administrative duties as part of the Support Staff Team and deliver a consistent, high-quality, integrated and seamless service.
- Provide timely administrative support to the academy which includes typing letters and email communications and send these, via the academy’s MIS, to intended recipients.
- Assist in providing an efficient, confidential, administrative, and clerical support using a range of systems.
- Offer an efficient response to all visitors to the school and deal with internal and external queries in a professional and courteous manner.
About You
You will have experience of working in an office environment and possess excellent IT skills with proven experience of using Microsoft systems. You will have the ability to produce letters, reports and display information to a high standard and be able to prioritise your workload. You will also have an awareness of safeguarding processes and of health and safety in the workplace and be a team player.
You will promote excellent behaviour and conduct, be committed to safeguarding and student welfare, and should be keen to engage in the wider life of our community school.
Candidates should possess a minimum of GCSEs at A-C (or equivalent) in both English and Maths, be organised, reliable and an excellent communicator.

Holderness Academy & Sixth Form College is a large comprehensive school with 1108 students on roll, including 105 in the Sixth Form. The Academy is situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire and located in the small village of Preston. It sits six miles to the East of Hull and one mile from the town of Hedon.

On 1 October 2018, Holderness Academy and Sixth Form College (formerly South Holderness Technology College) joined a multi academy trust, ‘The Consortium Academy Trust’ (TCAT).
