We are looking for a professional, flexible, and organised Administrative Assistant to join our team and provide crucial clerical support to our school staff

The Role

As the first point of contact for our academy, you will play a vital role in the smooth day to day running of the school. Your time will be split between welcoming visitors, managing communications and handling essential data and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reception & Communication: Meet and greet students and visitors, provide hospitality and answer incoming calls professionally - taking accurate messages or routing calls as needed.

  • Administrative Support: Provide daily clerical support to staff, including typing, word-processing and generating reports or data lists.

  • Data Management: Input and manage data within our school management system (Arbor).

  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all school policies regarding child protection, health, safety and data protection.

What We Are Looking For
  • Skills & Abilities: Exceptional organisational skills, the ability to use your own initiative and a methodical approach with good attention to detail. You must be able to meet tight deadlines, work flexibly and collaborate constructively as part of a team.

  • Communication: A proven ability to communicate clearly, concisely, warmly and friendly with everyone from students to external services.

  • Education & Tech: Ideally four GCSE’s (Grades A - C), including Mathematics and English. A satisfactory level of computer literacy, and proficiency in using E-mail and the Internet.

  • Development: A strong willingness to undergo further professional training

What We Offer

As part of the Wellspring Academy Trust, we believe in looking after our staff so they can look after our students. When you join us, you can look forward to:

  • Professional Growth: We are fully committed to your professional development and actively encourage and fund opportunities for further training and qualifications.

  • An Inclusive Workplace: We value diversity and work proactively to remove workplace barriers, offering reasonable adjustments to support your unique needs from day one.

  • A Supportive Culture: Work within a collaborative team environment where you are appreciated and supported
