Administrative Assistant job summary
We are looking for an experienced administrative assistant to join our academy. You must be methodical with good attention to detail, a flexible approach and the ability to get things done; but also, kind, resilient and approachable within the fast-paced environment in which you will be working.
The school office is the friendly and welcoming face of Oasis Academy Boulton. You will be part of a small but efficient admin team who reflect the values and ethos of the academy in everything they do. Under the guidance of the Office Manager, Principal and the Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible for undertaking general administrative, financial and organisational processes within the school; and assist with the planning and development of support services.
The duties of this role are varied and may alter as time progresses to reflect the changes to systems, processes and infrastructure. Office cover is required Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 4.00pm. Within a 37-hour week, you will liaise with the Office Manager and Senior Leadership team to ensure appropriate levels of cover. It is anticipated that you will generally work the same hours – but flexibility will be required at times including afterschool events or emergency situations.
*This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
Oasis is committed to making a difference to the lives of the communities it works in, and as such you must show a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours, which flow from the Oasis ethos. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment and to undergo appropriate checks, including enhanced DBS checks.
