Administrative Assistant job summary
Vacancy for an Administrative Assistant
Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 4, Points 3-5
Hours: 37 per week
Weeks per year: 39
We are looking for a conscientious and detail-oriented person to provide effective and efficient administrative support to our Exams Officer and Data Manager, as well as providing administrative support with a variety of general school administration tasks. The postholder will also be required to provide daily lunch break cover on Reception and to cover staff absence as and when required.
This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, 39 weeks per year (term time plus school training days).
The Opportunity
- An exciting administrative role assisting with the efficient running of the school.
- Assist the Examinations Officer with the day to day running of the office, including the set-up of examination rooms, exam boxes and materials as required.
- Assist with the administration of all internal and external examinations, ensuring that JCQ rules and regulations are always adhered to.
- Assist the Data Manager with the production and distribution of student learning profiles, including updating the MIS system with student data.
- Assist with preparing reports and statistical information as required.

The ideal candidate
- Will have a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language.
- Ability to use IT systems including email, word, excel and TEAMS.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Reliability, flexibility, and accuracy are essential qualities.
- Be a proactive team player, with a ‘can do’ solution focused attitude.
- Excellent timekeeping skills and ability work efficiently under strict deadlines outlined by JCQ and examining bodies.
