Admissions Administrator – Hedgeway
Location: Pilning, Bristol, BS35 4JN
Salary: £14,301.55 - £15,470.11 actual salary
Horly rate: £13.34 - £14.43
Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days) – Term time only
Aurora Hedgeway is a dynamic and inspiring provision for children and young people aged 7-19 with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism and related social and communication needs.
We offer every student the chance to explore and fulfil their own unique potential. With provision running from Key Stage 2 all the way through to post-16, we are set up to support children and young people at every stage of their academic journey.
The main purpose of the role:
We’re looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Admissions Administrator to join our team at Hedgeway school. You’ll support the Admissions and Transition Manager to help process referrals, parental enquiries and expression of interests at Hedgeway school, as well as supporting with inward and outward transitions, making sure everything runs smoothly
You’ll also take care of general administration duties, such as inputting and retrieving data, taking accurate minutes as required, preparing relevant information for Ofsted inspections and assisting with any other duties that may be required by the Admissions and Transition Manager and School Business Manager.

Key duties:
Supporting the Admissions and Transitions Manager to process referrals, parental enquiries, expression of interests at Hedgeway.
To set up calls and meetings as directed by the Admissions manager.
Liaise with parents and staff team to set up visits for the admissions and transitions manager/class teams to undertake.
Keep accurate records relating to admission and transitions at Hedgeway.
Work closely with the school business managers at Hedgeway to facilitate referrals and placements in line with occupancy budgets.
Liaise with the business development team as and if required.
Working alongside the Admissions and Transition manager to ensure appropriate DBS checks have been carried out for external work experience providers and students as required.
Support the admissions and transitions manager to identify and visit transition outwards provisions.
Support with administrative tasks relating to new student onboarding
Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Good level of literacy and numeracy.
Demonstrable experience of working in administrative role ideally within an educational environment.
Computer literacy essential, particularly in Microsoft Office.
Accurate typing and Minute taking.
Organised and good time management.
Ability to manage workload effectively and multi-task.
High level of interpersonal ability with excellent written and verbal communication.
