Admissions Manager job summary

The University of Kent Academies Trust is seeking a highly organised and proactive Admissions Manager to join Chatham Grammar. This role is responsible for managing student admissions for Years 7 to 13 ensuring all processes comply with statutory requirements and Trust policies. The postholder will coordinate and administer key academy events, including Open Evenings, transition activities, and Parents’ Evenings, acting as the main point of contact for parents, students, the Local Authority, and internal teams.

This is a permanent role for 37 hours per week, and whilst mostly term time, it requires the postholder to work two additional weeks during school holidays. One of these weeks is specifically allocated to August, to support GCSE results administration, as Sixth Form admissions are confirmed following exam outcomes.

The successful candidate will have experience in administrative roles, ideally within an educational setting, with strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility, initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people are essential. Competence in ICT, including MS Office and data management systems, is also required.
