Start Date: As soon as possible

Our mission at Bristol Cathedral Choir School is to harness the power of our community, so that we all learn, grow and develop into the best versions of ourselves. This is because at BCCS we are: Gathered together, that all may thrive. We do this by living out our three core values in all that we say and do. These are: Kindness, Courage and Hope.

Bristol Cathedral Choir School is an academy that specialises in Music. The academy became part of the Cathedral Schools Trust (a Multi Academy Trust) in 2016. It serves students from all over Bristol and welcomes those of all faiths and none. We are proud of our diverse, tolerant and respectful community, which reflects Bristol’s demographic.

Our Operations Team plays a critical role at BCCS, maintaining a high standard of procedural and administrative expertise. We are a positive and proactive team, putting the wellbeing and support of each other, our teaching colleagues and students at the heart of everything we do.

The Admissions Officer is an essential role within our school; the specific remit of this role is to lead on and manage the school’s end-to-end admissions process, from first contact to enrolment. You will be the initial point of contact for applicants, will provide support throughout the admissions process and will lead on the annual admissions timetable for on-time and in-year admissions throughout Years 7 to 13.

Due to the fluctuations in timing of admissions workload this role will also have an element of school administrative support. We are looking for an organised and committed administration professional, who will build positive working relationships with the team and wider school. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to proactively manage their own time and workload to ensure the admissions function runs smoothly. Prior experience of working within a school environment is not essential - full training will be given - but candidates must have an eye for detail, high standards, and the aptitude to learn.

BCCS is a special place, dedicated to meeting the needs and aspirations of all our students. We are rich in history, but forward looking. Academic and committed to educating the whole child. Unashamedly values driven, with passionate, talented and enthusiastic staff and governors, united by our mission to be ‘Gathered together, that all may thrive’. A school in the heart of Bristol, for all of Bristol. For those who share our values and beliefs, this is an exciting time to join us in our journey to transform lives through education.

Please read the job description and person specification for further details about the role.
