What skills and experience we're looking for

Brompton Academy is a vibrant and forward-thinking educational institution committed to providing an exceptional learning experience for our students. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can thrive. As we continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking an organised and proactive Admissions Officer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent appointment for 37 hours per week, term time only, with 5 additional days to be worked during the school holiday periods throughout the year.

We are looking for a dedicated Admissions Officer to oversee and manage our student admissions process. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective students and their families, guiding them through the admissions journey. You will handle everything from processing applications and conducting interviews to managing admissions-related events and maintaining student records. Whilst experience in a similar role would be an advantage, a solutions-focused mindset is key, and the academy will consider candidates with transferable skills and experience.

As an Admissions Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process, working closely with academic staff, parents, and external partners. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our admissions process, particularly during peak periods.

What the school offers its staff

The successful applicant will be coming to a multi-academy trust-wide supportive learning environment, characterised by open management, and in the knowledge that they will enjoy the full support and care of the pragmatic (and down-to-earth) leadership team. We have a dynamic, innovative team of professional staff who want to make a difference to the lives, aspirations and opportunities of our young people. We would encourage applicants to visit the UKAT website to view the many employee benefits on offer:https://www.universityofkentacademiestrust.org.uk/careers-with-ukat.

Further details about the role

Your application should be made after reading the job description and person specification, and you will use the application to tell us how your current skills and experience fit the requirements and why you think you would be suited to this role.

We are keen to attract top talent to our inclusive Trust, and therefore, we welcome applications from all people across the community spectrum regardless of their race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, sexual orientation, disability, gender reassignment or age.

Commitment to safeguarding

The University of Kent Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

In addition, the Trust will carry out an online search, once, as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This is intended to help us identify any incidents or issues that have happened and are publicly available online.
