Advanced Speech and Language Therapist (maternity cover) job summary
Churchwood Primary Academy is looking to appoint an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to work within our specialist SEN unit for pupils with ASD and associated speech and language communication needs. This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will be involved in supporting pupils with accessing all aspects of the curriculum, as well as liaising with parents and carers and other external professionals and agencies. You will work closely with the SEN Unit Lead Teacher, helping to integrate therapy and learning objectives, as well as instructing and supporting support staff in delivering therapy programmes/groups and use of specialised equipment.
Churchwood is a one-form entry primary school situated in the picturesque setting of Church Wood in St Leonards on Sea. We have a large playing field, our own Forest School, a Woodland Playground and two acres of beautiful woodland. We have up to 300 children who are organized into single age classes including our thriving Nursery.
