Advanced Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking to appoint a Advanced Teaching Assistant for 35 Hours per Week, on a Term Time only basis to join our team at Skelton Primary School.
To work Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4pm

This role will work under the direction of the class teacher and other appropriate staff, in assisting with and contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of the learning process. The post holder will work in classes, or other appropriate locations with access to support and guidance, supervising groups and /or individual pupils.
The Advanced Teaching Assistant will have a passion for inclusive education and helping to develop a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed. This role is central to promoting positive wellbeing, involving the delivery of targeted interventions and emotional support to help overcome barriers to learning so all children can access classroom teaching. You will use your expertise to adapt support, develop independence and collaborate closely with teachers and our SENDCo to ensure all pupils, including those with additional needs, can access a rich and engaging curriculum and thrive both academically and personally.
