Advanced Teaching Assistant (Inclusion Team) job summary
We are looking to appoint an Advanced Teaching Assistant to work as part of our inclusion team here at Friarage School. In this role you will assist in the planning and development of learning activites with the SENCO, inclusion team and teacher, to support the learning and development of our pupils. It is important to have great communication skills to be able to establish rapport and trusting relationships with our pupils, families and carers, as well as good organisational abilities to assess and report on the attainment and progression of our children.
You will have experience working with children in an education setting, with a good understanding of child development and learning. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs, including identifying and diversifying for individual needs, and can demonstrate good written and verbal skills, which will allow you to build and develop relationships and mould well into our supportive and positive team.
It is essential to have the relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent, and have good writing, reading and numeracy skills.
