Rockland St Mary & Surlingham Primary School are
seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate After School Club Leader to join
our friendly team.
The successful candidate will lead and co-ordinate an
engaging, happy, and community-driven after-school club at Rockland St Mary
Primary School, for children at Rockland and Surlingham primary schools. They
will co-ordinate a range of after school activities, some of which will be run
by external providers and staff at the school, and some by the after-school
personal competencies expected of all school support staff are:
ability to communicate clearly and tactfully using appropriate methods and an
awareness of the impact of your own communication on others;
to maintain positive relationships with all and able to work as an effective
and flexible part of a team; willing to change methods of work and routines to
benefit the team;
to accept responsibility for your own actions; the ability to prioritise
effectively, meet deadlines and accept challenges;
positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff;
a positive role model;
with pupils appropriately and works with the best interest of pupils in
and professional competencies expected of an After School Club Lead are:
prepared to train as a Designated Safeguarding Lead for occasions when another
DSL is not on-site.
prepared to train and lead as a first-aider.
ability to work autonomously as required, as well as part of a team.
working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
