The Belfry CEVA Primary School in Overstrand runs an After School Club, open daily during term time to pupils from 3.15–5.15pm.

The job grade is C4 at £13.05/hr, 2.50-5.20pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time only (38 weeks per year). 

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and positive individual to work alongside another playworker in order to make the After School sessions a positive and enjoyable experience for all. The club is well-established and popular amongst pupils, offering a range of craft activities, games, and play. You will assist in the preparation and delivery of safe play opportunities, and organising snack preparation. Ideally, you will:

  • Enjoy working and playing with children.
  • Show initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to develop and maintain professional relationships with both pupils and staff.
  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Have some experience working with children.
  • Be willing to undertake training.
