Afternoon Receptionist job summary

Contract details:

Part time, permanent contract

Hours of work: 10:55 – 14:00 daily (15 hours and 25 minutes each week – term time only)

Expected start date: ASAP

Salary: Scale 2 points 3 and 4 £22,737 - £23,114 (Actual salary £7971 - £8104)

We are looking for a receptionist to provide an outstanding professional first point of contact for the Academy. This is a fast paced, reactive and varied role within our popular, over-subscribed school where students’ achievements are outstanding. You will be joining a team of dedicated and highly professional staff whose aim is to enable all students to fulfil their potential.

You will:

  • have a professional and confident telephone manner.
  • be responsible for monitoring and answering the school gate.
  • confidently implement Safeguarding, in line with Academy procedures, for all external callers.
  • be well organised and reactive, able to switch tasks quickly and efficiently as the need arises.
  • have a current First Aid certificate or be willing to undertake training in this area.
  • available, with notice, to cover for absent colleagues.
