Afterschool Club Assistant job summary

Responsible for pupils in the afterschool club ensuring good behaviour and manners, liaising with the Principal or Senior Leaders when necessary to support this

Ensure pupils tidy up/clear up in a satisfactory manner.

Ensure that pupils who are not entitled to leave the academy during the afterschool club, remain on site.

Update the Principal or Senior Leadership Team of what activities are planned and report any issues (environment, pupils etc) to them in a timely manner.

Work in close co-operation with other academy staff and as part of the wider team.

Take instructions from senior staff as required.

Ensure that all academy policies, including safeguarding and pupil behaviour are always followed.

Deal with first aid matters and report any serious incidents to the Principal/Senior Leadership Team as they occur

Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy after activities, that equipment is put away. Where tables and trays are used for snacks make sure they are wiped and that all rubbish is put in bins.

Adhere to school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of pupils
