Afterschool Club Leader job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to our rapidly growing school and pre-school at the heart of its village community. We’d love to hear from you if you:
Have experience of working with children (Level 2 certificate in Childcare is desirable)
excellent communication skills with young children
the ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of an established team
the ability to organise and teach children to play games

Main duties include:
Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
Providing comprehensive care for the children including safely taking them to school after breakfast club and collecting them from school for Afterschool club.
Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
Administering first aid when necessary.
Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities. Helping with club administration, where necessary.
Encouraging parental involvement in the club.
Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and school
Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
Working within the framework of the Schools policies and procedures.
Forming strong working relationships with management and staff, and building professional relationships the children attending the club and their parents/carers,
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday after school - 14 hours
