This post would suit a passionate and motivated colleague who is experienced in working successfully with pupils, and looking forward to working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure their success.

As an AP Teaching Assistant, you will be based primarily in our construction provision, however you could support across any of our other Alternative Provisions should this be required. You will need to share our commitment and vision and with a team of likeminded colleagues. Our Trust and Junction 16 service is not only changing but also growing. As a result, this could lead to further progression opportunities within our Trust over time.

The successful candidate will be able to engage and enthuse our pupils and work cooperatively within a diverse team of professionals from across the education and wider care landscape. Our mantra “we never give up” underpins our approach to working with pupils and guides and underpins our values. This is a fundamental part of our Junction 16 vision so it is important that the successful candidate can fully embrace and embody this philosophy.

We understand that our staff team are at the heart of our success. We have developed a strong culture of collaboration and cooperation with a high regard for personal and professional development. If you feel that you have the ability and drive to enable our students to reach their full potential, joining our school also offers many personal benefits including:

  • A committed and passionate staff team
  • A strong commitment to your continuing professional development and training opportunities
  • Regular well-being support
  • A supportive environment where your talents will be encouraged, nurtured and rewarded
  • Junction 16 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and other vetting procedures including the provision of two good references.
