Apprentice IT Technician job summary

Are you looking for an IT Apprenticeship? Are you motivated and passionate? We would love to hear from you! This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking for the next growth step in their career to gain a qualification alongside experience of work in a busy, friendly school. In this role you will work as part of our IT team delivering high quality support services. You will be working within a team of experienced technicians to provide a comprehensive and effective technical support service to our students and staff.

The position is offered on the basis of working 37 hours per week during term time, plus 4 weeks in the school holidays (42 working weeks per year), and is fixed term for the term of the apprenticeship course, around 18 months. Up to 20% of working hours will be ‘off the job’ time for studying. The allocation of this time will be discussed with the tutor once the apprentice is in place.

You will provide a comprehensive and effective technical support service to students and all staff (teaching and support) at the academy. This role requires a motivated and passionate individual.

About you

We are looking for an organised, analytical individual who can analyse, interpret and resolve IT problems by developing practical workable solutions. The successful candidate will have an interest in providing desktop and user support, as well as supporting all Windows operating systems and managing Wi-Fi technologies. You will be able to work under pressure to deliver excellent results within set deadlines.
