About the Role

As an IT Apprentice, you will work alongside our skilled technicians to support and assist in the development of UKAT’s IT vision for the future. You will help maintain and manage IT systems and resources across all UKAT schools, developing your technical skills and knowledge in a real-world environment.

This apprenticeship will provide training and experience in:

Supporting IT users across a school and trust-wide network.

Learning to work with Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, and networked storage systems.

Supporting Apple technologies (iPads, MacOS, iOS devices) and Mobile Device Management.

Gaining knowledge of classroom and large venue AV (audio/visual) equipment.

Developing strong customer service and support skills.

Working collaboratively with colleagues in a busy IT support environment.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a good level of education (minimum GCSEs or equivalent in English, Maths, and ICT desirable).

Has a genuine interest in IT and technology, with a desire to learn and develop new skills.

Is enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to work as part of a supportive team.

Possesses good communication skills and a strong customer support ethic.

Can work co-operatively with others and approach problem-solving positively.
