APPRENTICE Nursery Teaching Assistant/Early Years Practitioner job summary
The Pod Nursery at St Frideswides is looking to appoint an inspirational , enthusiastic and caring Apprentice Nursery Teaching Assistant/Early Years Practitioner.
The role is term time only for the duration of the apprenticeship which is approx18 months.
The successful candidate will provide support for :
- teaching and learning activities both within the classroom setting and in small intervention groups
- assist the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans.
- follow all nursery policies and procedures
- ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those who use the premises
We are looking for someone who
- has a passion for working with children
- is flexible, enthusiastic, has lots of energy and a real sense of fun and are calm and patient
- has an understanding of SEND
- has the ability to work as part of a team and to show initiative
- is keen to be involved in all aspects of school life
- Will to undertake the training provided by professionals to achieve a level 2 or Level 3 apprentice certificate depending on current qualifications.
The Pod Nursery at St Frideswide CE Primary School, as a member of the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust, is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All postholders in regulated activity are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced check. Online checks may also be carried out to comply with KCSIE.
