About this RoleHatchside has recently opened a second site to accommodate Early Years and Key Stage 1. This is located next to Mayespark Primary.

Hatchside School is looking to appoint adaptable, motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Teacher to teach an Early Years Foundation Stage/lower Key Stage 1 class of pupils. We welcome applications from those with some experience in this area of work or those wishing to develop a career in a special school environment. Staff should be able to demonstrate currency of knowledge in terms of early years practice and SEND (or the willingness to engage in updating this when in post).

We are looking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Years practitioners who:
- Holds or is working towards a full and relevant Level 5 qualification or degree
- Can demonstrate a current knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Framework, early years practice and its implications for pupils with disabilities and learning difficulties (or a willingness to engage in updating this when in post)
- Has a good understanding of how children learn and develop
- Is self-motivated, resilient and flexible
- Can build effective, positive relationships and work collaboratively with all stakeholders including parents/carers, therapy teams and other specialist services to support the development of the pupils and ensure the best outcomes possible
- Enjoys a challenge and wants to be part of team of an exciting journey in setting up a new school
