APPRENTICE Teaching Assistant job summary

St Frideswides is looking to appoint inspirational , enthusiastic and caring Apprentice Teaching Assistants.

The role is term time only for the duration of the apprenticeship which is 18 months.

The successful candidate will provide support for :

  • teaching and learning activities both within the classroom setting, nursery and in small intervention groups
  • assist the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans.
  • assist with individual students with an EHCP

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a passion for working with children and infants
  • is nurturing and caring
  • is flexible, enthusiastic, has lots of energy and a real sense of fun and are calm and patient
  • has an understanding of SEND
  • has the ability to work as part of a team and to show initiative
  • is keen to be involved in all aspects of school life
  • is willing to complete the apprentice programme with on the job training to gain a qualification

St Frideswide CE Primary School, as a member of the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust, is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All postholders in regulated activity are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced check.
