Apprentice Teaching Assistant job summary

Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 4pm, 39 weeks per year (35 hours per week) £7.55 per hour (national apprentice rate).

The apprenticeship is initially for 18 months however this would be with a view to a permanent Teaching Assistant role, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Gosberton House Academy is an outstanding specialist school for primary-aged pupils with Autism and additional learning needs. We are expanding our inspirational team and would be happy to hear from you if you have an interest supporting children with complex needs and the ability to show initiative. Duties include supporting the development of self-help skills, teaching and learning, resource preparation and social learning activities. You will be enthusiastic, caring and keen to learn.

According to our children, GHA is “brilliant”. Every day is different - you might be leading a small group cooking session, joining in with a singing activity, then supporting an art activity at lunchtime.
