Apprentice Teaching Assistant job summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated school team at St Mary's. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a rewarding career in education while gaining valuable hands-on experience and a recognised qualification.

As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will support pupils both in the classroom and through small group or one-to-one interventions, helping them to engage with learning and achieve their full potential.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become an effective Teaching Assistant. You will receive ongoing training and support while learning how to assist with lesson preparation, classroom management, pupil wellbeing, and educational activities.

The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting young people, eager to learn, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of pupils. This role provides an excellent foundation for future careers in education, teaching, childcare, or special educational needs support.
