Apprenticeship Trainer (Business) job summary

Salary: £33,000-£37,000 FTE, Actual salary - £13,200 to £14,800 depending upon experience and qualifications + Lift Schools Wellbeing Cash Plan + Pension Scheme (LGPS) + Additional Lift Schools Benefits

Location: Home-based (remote working with some travel when required)

Hours: Variable/flexible - initially 2 days per week, with potential to increase, plus hybrid working arrangements

Contract: Fixed-term initially, with potential to become permanent

About the role

Lift Schools Apprenticeships is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Apprenticeships Trainer - Business Programmes to support the delivery of high-quality apprenticeship provision across the education sector.

Reporting to the Apprenticeships Programme Manager, you will deliver Business Administrator and School Business Professional apprenticeship programmes, working closely with apprentices, employers, and internal colleagues to ensure learners make strong progress and achieve successful outcomes. There may also be opportunities to deliver on other programmes, such as Teaching Assistant or Operations Manager apprenticeships, depending on your qualifications and experience.

You will manage a caseload of apprentices, delivering induction, teaching, learning and assessment, and conducting 10-weekly tripartite reviews with learners and employers. You will support apprentices in developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for End Point Assessment, maintain accurate records in the e-portfolio system, and intervene effectively when additional support is required.

This is a flexible, part-time role initially (2 days per week), with the potential to increase hours and move onto a permanent contract during the year.

What we're looking for

* A Level 3 or above qualification in a relevant area
* A teaching or training qualification (Award in Education and Training, PGCE or equivalent)
* Experience working in education or training, ideally within schools
* Strong communication, organisational and ICT skills
* A learner-focused approach with the ability to motivate and support apprentices

Assessor qualifications and experience delivering apprenticeship standards are desirable but not essential.
