Area Leader: Humanities (Geography) job summary
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and ambitious teacher of Geography to join the Humanities faculty. The main focus of this post will be to assist in the leadership of the Faculty and the successful candidate will be responsible for leading teaching and learning in the area of Geography.
The successful candidate will:
• have the ability to teach KS3, KS4 and KS5 Geography
• have the ability to teach in other areas of Humanities at KS3 (desirable)
• have the ability to enthuse, motivate and inspire both staff and students alike
• be an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to role model outstanding classroom behaviour management and a proven record of examination results
• have an appropriate degree for this post and secondary QTS
• have a commitment to continuous professional development

Prince Henry’s is a successful and over-subscribed comprehensive school with over 1630 students – including around 320 in the Sixth Form. We serve the market town of Otley and the surrounding area, approximately 12 miles from Leeds.
