Art/Display/DT/Food Techician job summary

Gilbert Inglefield Academy are looking to appoint a part time ART/DT/Food Technician 3 days per week - Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday to work alongside our current Technician.

The main purpose of the role will be to provide practical and administrative support for the teaching of Food and Art/Design Technology.

• To assist teachers and students during practical lessons. To support groups of students to carry out the practical lesson as directed by the art, food and design teaching staff.
  

• To ensure that equipment and ingredients are prepared for practical lessons. Including the stocking of classrooms with consumables.
  

• Under the direction of the Head of Department, to ensure that all Health and Safety Requirements are met.
  

• To assist with food preparation for whole school events, when appropriate.

The role is 21 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, term time only plus inset days
