Job summary

We are looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Art and Photography Teacher to join our supportive and talented team at Bristol Metropolitan Academy. We are a growing organisation, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.

This position is on a Fixed Term Contract for one year to cover maternity leave commencing on 02 March 2020. Yours hours will be 0.8 (26 hours per week) although, 0.6 (19.5 hours per week) may be considered for the right candidate. .

What we are looking for:

We look for passionate individuals who want to be a part of transforming education and will make an active contribution to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation and chosen Academy. You will be used to planning and consistently delivering high quality lessons, will have experience in delivering the curriculum in your chosen area and will be a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change and motivate colleagues and students. A well-qualified specialist, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, you will have the ability to teach GCSE and Post 16 CTEC’s. We look for professional’s who have excellent class management skills and have high expectations of work and behaviour.

•A reflective practitioner who consistently seeks to improve their teaching to support learning and accelerate student progress
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
•Able to work as a member of a high performing team
•Teaching secures good progress over time for students
•Able to work with students, colleagues and parents with a high level of professionalism

Experience:
Secondary School teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4 and the full ability range
•Experience of working with children and young people.
•Able to provide examples of the positive impact of your teaching on children’s learning in your application.
