Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School; Batley Grammar School; Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School; Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School; Hyrstmount Junior School; Manorfield Infant and Nursery School; Purlwell Infant and Nursery School and Upper Batley High School. We provide high quality education for all our young people regardless of their background or starting point. Collaboration across our Trust family of schools enables us to share expertise, knowledge and best practice to ensure academic and pastoral excellence, with all schools embracing the same overall ethos and values, whilst maintaining their own unique characters.
The Aspire to Educate course consists of subject support and teaching, planning and preparation time (PPA), and wider Trust CPD. The course offers different pathways such as being attached to a specific curriculum area based on your own qualifications and background, or specialising in SEND support attached to the SEND team, or working in a primary school setting. Qualifications gained at the end of the course in July 2026 are the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning (32 UCAS points). There is also the possibility of completing the Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification with Leeds Trinity University.
There is a requirement of GCSE Maths and English Language 4+ to be considered for the course.
Follow-on pathways upon completion of the course include foundation courses into education studies, any degree course, apprenticeship, Cover Supervisor in any school setting, HLTA in any school setting or a Learning Mentor in any school setting.
