Assistant 6th Form Manager job summary

We are looking to appoint an Assistant 6th Form Manager to join our sixth form team in September 2026, to support the work of the designated Pastoral and Academic teams.


Start Date: 01 Sept 2026

Hours: 37hrs per week. 41 weeks per year (term time +3 weeks)

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

·        Support the Sixth Form leadership team with student progress, achievement and attainment

·        Support the Sixth Form leadership team in the encouragement of the ethos and culture of the Sixth Form

·        Support in the organisation and administration of key Sixth Form Events such as Super Learning Days, Induction Days, Future Events, Information Evenings, Prize giving and Progress Evenings

·        Monitor, supervise and manage the Sixth Form study area and ensure that they are used purposefully and appropriately

·        Support the whole Sixth Form team o manage and assist the pastoral care, supporting students, parents and staff through a calm and professional management style

·        Support students who are struggling academically

·        Assist in advising students regarding university and careers applications

·        Be a first point of contact for parents, students and outside agencies

·        To carry out admin duties for the Sixth Form

·        Monitor, record and communicate safeguarding issues to the child protection team
