What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an excellent practitioner to strengthen our current leadership of Biology.

You will:

  • Assist the Assistant Principal:Director Science in moving the department to become an outstanding provider in all subjects in progress and outcomes.

  • Share, on a regular, ongoing, basis, new ideas and best practice.

  • Lead by example in the functions agreed with the PICCL & Curriculum Leader.

  • Assist the Assistant Principal:Director Science, providing leadership in agreed aspects of the work of the curriculum area, and in doing so:

  • Lead by example in quality of teaching & learning and making a positive contribution to the wider life and Catholic ethos of the academy

  • Be able to teach Science at KS3 and KS4 and Biology at KS5.
  • Be actively supportive of the Catholic values and beliefs of St Edmund’s and to make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school.
