What skills and experience we're looking for

To support us on the next exciting stage of our development, we are looking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Assistant Curriculum Leader of Travel and Tourism, working within our Humanities faculty. This is a new position created due to the increasing uptake of Travel and Tourism at GCSE.

Previous teaching of Travel and Tourism is not necessary for the role. We encourage applicants from all Humanities disciplines who looking to take the next stage in their career and lead a curriculum area as part of a larger and supportive faculty team.

The successful applicant will:

  • Enhance teaching and learning within the Travel and Tourism faculty area.
  • Support the leadership of Geography and Humanities to implement a knowledge-rich and high-quality curriculum.
  • Organise enrichment and educational visits for BTEC Travel and Tourism students.
  • Have a detailed understanding of what makes outstanding teaching and learning and demonstrate this across their own practice.
  • Maximise progress and achievement in Travel and Tourism through rigorous monitoring, intervention and review.
  • Work with the Humanities leadership team to ensure the best provision is in place for all students.
  • Be committed to the personal development of our students through enrichment opportunities and experiences.
