Assistant Deputy Headteacher

Pickwick Academy Trust is looking to appoint a full-time, permanent Assistant Deputy Headteacher (Leadership of KS1), based at Queen’s Crescent School.

Salary:

M1-UPS3, £31,650- £49,084 pro rata per annum dependent on experience.

The post holder will receive a TLR 2 payment of £3391 per annum for the leadership responsibility

Our School

Queen’s Crescent School is a two-form entry primary school, based in Chippenham with over 400 pupils on roll across 14 classes. In 2014 the school became a single academy trust and subsequently joined Pickwick Academy Trust in 2017 as one of the four founding schools. Queen’s Crescent is a vibrant school and our energetic, caring and positive staff are committed to providing the best primary education for all of our children. Children learn best when they feel happy and safe, so we aim to provide a nurturing environment that allows them to succeed but also feel safe to make mistakes along the way. Our curriculum is broad and balanced and delivered by means of stimulating learning enquiries that build on prior knowledge and skills, preparing each individual for the next phase of their education and life beyond school. We are currently investing significantly in our IT infrastructure to support the delivery of the curriculum enabling our teachers to teach in new and dynamic ways which in turn results in fantastic outcomes for our children.

Role Overview

We are looking for someone who shares our vision for primary education and our school values. Someone who is an aspirational teacher and leader with a passion for learning, to join our experienced Senior Leadership Team, contributing fully to the continued development of Queen’s Crescent School. The role will be class based, with regular leadership release time to lead across Key Stage 1.
