Assistant Director of Engagement, Creativity and Culture job summary
The Assistant Director of Engagement, Creativity and Culture will work with students, colleagues and partners within, across and beyond the Trust to achieve our two strategic objectives:
1. Improve Student Outcomes
2. Become an Employer of Choice
The role’s key purpose is to design, deliver and scale sequential and progressive creative medium programmes, accreditations, interventions and awards with the broad objectives of:
- Building a one-team culture across the organisation
- Growing a positive Trust identity aligned with our vision and values Together we are: courageous, innovative, excellent
- Enriching and improving the curriculum and learning experience offer across the Trust: encompassing formal programmes of study such as photography and English; whole-trust themed projects focusing on personal development and ID&E; and alternative provision
- Engaging and re-engaging students in learning, with a particular focus on key identified groups such as disadvantaged and vulnerable students
- Supporting students and families during identified key transition points, including Year 6 to Year 7 and KS3-KS4
- Developing high-quality CPD to support the recruitment and retention of teaching personnel, including ECTs and SEND-specialists
- Building impactful partnerships with universities, businesses and employers
- Raising the Trust’s local and national profile
- Increasing and maximising engagement of local communities, families and adult learners with individual academies, groups of academies and the Trust
- Empowering identified under-achieving or under-represented groups of learners.
- Supporting the successful development and ongoing positive impact of a Trust-wide Student Advisory Board.
KPIs and measurements of success will be finalised and co-created, but will likely encompass:
- Improvement of specified measures on externally commissioned staff and pupil experience surveys
- Stakeholder engagement metrics on social media platforms
- Successful development and delivery of student programmes, accreditations, interventions and awards (student achievement and attendance)
- Successful development and delivery of high-quality CPD (programme delivery and teaching personnel feedback)
- Effective partnership development with universities, businesses and employers (stakeholder events, partnerships and relationships)
- Increased engagement of local communities, families and adult learners with individual academies, groups of academies and the Trust
- Successful whole-trust projects (staff and pupil feedback) and external events, such as pop-up galleries.
This post will be part of the centralised education team, working across the Trust’s academies and with colleagues from other executive functions, including People and Digital (Marketing and Communications).
The role is offered on an executive contract, which includes 30 days annual leave, with public holidays in addition.
Full access and use of a car is required.
