What skills and experience we're looking for

We are excited to offer the opportunity for an inspirational Science specialist to join our popular and expanding school as our new Assistant Director of Science. The appointed candidate will play a vital role in the continued success our popular science team, with opportunities to teach across all Key Stages including KS5. All science specialists are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Applications are welcome from those already in a middle leadership role looking to extend their experience, and from excellent ambitious teachers seeking their first middle leadership post. Regardless of experience we are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who wants to work in an environment that genuinely puts pupils first. Among other duties the successful candidate will support the Director of Science with leading the teaching and learning and curriculum development of the Faculty.

Our friendly, vibrant and stable Science department operate in a dynamic learning environment, where staff work hard to provide an exciting and challenging curriculum for a diverse range of students. Science lessons are varied and immersive, focusing on engaging lessons where student learning can thrive. Consequently, an active and mutually respectful atmosphere is fostered, student behaviour is excellent, and results for student cohorts are extremely good.
