An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team at Broad Horizons Education Trust which currently operates 18 academies in and around Norwich – 3 secondary schools, 2 specialist schools and 13 schools for younger children.
The Assistant Finance Business Partner will work as part the busy and friendly finance team to ensure that the Trust’s monthly management accounts and underlying financial records are complete and accurate, whilst also working with a range of other internal and external stakeholders to drive value for money as part of the organisation’s responsibility to steward and apply public funds effectively and efficiently.
The Assistant Finance Business Partner role is a key member of Broad Horizons Education Trust, delivering continuous improvement in the Trust’s finance function and developing trusted business partnerships with departmental budget holders (Head Teachers and Central Service leads) and other operational staff. Key areas of work include forecasting, monitoring budgets and developing 3 year rolling budget plans, alongside other financial tasks.
The role is based in the Trust’s centralised Head office, providing financial support to the team and Trust, visiting schools and liaising with budget holders as required. Candidates will have the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team and will be fully trained in the use of the Trust’s financial systems. Candidates are expected to have at least 12 months’ prior experience of working within a financial role.
The hours for this post are 37 hours per week with the opportunity for flexi working weeks around school holidays.
